The outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, has said he is willing to resume lecturing as soon his tenure lapses.
This was a response to a question asked by Adedokun Adedayo Adewunmi, an alumnus of UI, in a Facebook.
“Will you continue to teach in UI or you will leave for other position like most people do?,” Adedokun asked.
Prof. Olayinka then replied saying he “will be returning to my (his) Department as early as Tuesday 1 December 2020.”
Prof. Olayinka is expected to hand over by November 30 after serving for 5 years. However, the appointment of a new VC is not without allegations against the defective selection process with widespread speculations that the University may have an acting Vice Chancellor.
